Carole King’s album Tapestry is one of few that really made an impact on me. All songs are wonderful, not just the music, but the lyrics and they seem to get under your skin if you listen carefully! One of them, You’ve got a friend, sends an outstanding message of everlasting friendship.

Carole King also made an impact when she sang along with Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey back in 1998, when they performed together in a lovely show called ”Divas live”.
Gloria Estefan, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion may have to excuse me, but this time, we ought to cheer Aretha Franklin’s own version of Natural Woman when she actually sings it to Carole King on Kennedy Center of Honors 2015. What a great version! She plays the piano, she sings better than ever and she has a completely outstanding voice control. The moment when Aretha casually throws her fur on the stage floor is simply wonderful! That’s when the entire audience gives standing ovations! I can’t help it but I’m crying, for joy of this musical experience. I notice I’m not the only one in tears… right, Mr President?
There’s just one Aretha Franklin!
